The largest body of water in Central Park, the 106-acre Reservoir is surrounded by a 1.58 mile running track, making it one of the city’s most popular jogging spots.  While the Reservoir is the most dominant feature of this section of the Park, the surrounding North Meadow ball fields and Tennis Center courts are busy with athletic activity.

On the eastern border of the park is the sophisticated Carnegie Hill neighborhood, punctuated by some of the world's greatest museums, including the Guggenheim Museum and Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
