City Plate - Paris

Special Price $35.00 Regular Price $50.00
Part of our fifth series of City Plates. This collection celebrates "Visionary Thinking" and takes a look at four great cities (Paris, Chicago, Montréal, and Mumbai), examining the past, present, and future of innovative architecture and design.

Paris has hosted more World’s Fairs than any other city.  The most architecturally memorable one occurred in 1889 and featured the Eiffel Tower, which was built for the event.  The Eiffel Tower and other famous landmarks, including L’Arc de Triomphe, the Opera Bastille, and Les Halles, are noted in persimmon.  The Paris plate is bisected by the Seine, with the Jardin de Tuileries and the Louvre marking the center of the plate.
