FIGHT OR FLIGHT: look up in the sky...
Underscored by ambiguity, Fight or Flight reveals remarkable similarities between man-made objects and nature: what seems docile and harmless at first glance can suddenly shift to become dark and ominous when viewed more closely.
The dragonfly is a marvel of flight engineering. Much like a dragonfly, the helicopter is adept at quickly plunging in for a landing in a difficult location, and hastily fleeing when faced with danger. Migratory bird species, such as geese and ducks, fly together to conserve energy over long distances. Having fancied the flight of birds for millennia, we finally broke free of our terrestrial confines in the beginning of the 20th Century with the invention of the airplane. It is our hope that these vessels will provoke contemplation and discussion of where we may soar next.
